The workforce is a competitive place to be these days – and that’s putting it mildly. Getting an education, while important, is no longer enough to guarantee anyone a job.

That’s why Humber offers co-op placements, internships, career planning services and lots more to give our students a competitive advantage.

Career Centre

Take advantage of resume and cover letter critique sessions, mock interviews, on-campus recruitment sessions by top employers, job fairs and help setting up a LinkedIn profile.

Work on campus

Full-time students in good academic standing can work on campus up to 24 hours per week during the school year (September to May). Jobs are available in many departments, including Athletics, Student Life Program (orientation, residence, etc.), Aboriginal Resource Centre, Accessibility Learning Services, Public Safety, International Centre and Marketing and Communications.

Plus most of our programs include an internship or co-op placement, another competitive advantage when it comes time to graduate.

Career Advancement

Part-time students and alumni can get career coaching through Humber’s Career Advancement service. Get career coaching, job search strategies, a resume review and educational planning.

So, there you have it. Job searching can be stressful, but at Humber we do our best to make the process as smooth as possible.

Happy hunting!
