NAIT is committed to creating a positive student experience that encompasses students’ mental, emotional and physical well-being. We promise relevant knowledge, real skills and rewarding careers to our students. We deliver on that promise every day.

Over the past year, NAIT awarded more than 3,800 students with $5 million in financial support. One of these students was Jaenelle Cardinal, a 33-year-old mother of two.

Jaenelle graduated last year from NAIT’s JR Shaw School of Business with a diploma in Business Administration - Management and a Carpenters journeyman’s certificate. Today she dreams of opening her own construction business and continues to encourage women to pursue careers in the trades.

Motivated to succeed, Janelle jumped into all aspects of campus life. She was involved with NAIT’s Women in Technology and Trades initiative and was the longest-serving student ambassador for NAIT’s Prospective Aboriginal Youth program. She couldn’t have done it alone, however.

She was fortunate to have received five scholarships during her studies—all of which were funded by individual and corporate donors who believe in the potential of NAIT’s students.

NAIT provides scholarships to recognize academic achievements, as well as bursaries that support student success. We also give out awards for athletic program participation, extra-curricular activities, leadership and involvement in the community.

Most awards are available to students who have completed their first year of studies and are enrolled in their second, third or fourth year. NAIT also offers scholarships and bursaries to students entering NAIT as well as students enrolled in an apprenticeship.
