Studying abroad will boost your career prospects, find the right programme.

Save

No doubt about it, studying abroad will give you an advantage when you start your career. In fact, “91 percent of employers say they value job candidates with international experience because it develops cross-cultural understanding. And 50 percent said they would hire a candidate with study abroad experience over one without,” according to a survey by the Canadian Bureau for International Education.

Glion Institute of Higher Education offers several study abroad options which allow students to experience the global world of hospitality on its campuses in Switzerland and in London, UK.

Multicampus Programmes

The multicampus programmes are available for the Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Event, Sport and Entertainment Management. They offer a seamless experience through our three campuses.

  • Start in Switzerland, the home of hospitality, and learn hotel operations on Glion campus.
  • Spend a year in London, “the world’s most influential city*,” studying hospitality management and business at the Glion London campus.
  • Complete two 6-month internships, anywhere in the world, in Semesters 3 and 5.
  • Finish in Switzerland, on Bulle campus with the choice of specializations.

Summer Programme

The Glion London Summer Academy offers a first-class introduction to the world of luxury hospitality and event management. In this two-week summer program, you will:

  • Discover the global hospitality and tourism industry and top-level careers
  • Develop hospitality and event management skills
  • Practice project management in a multicultural environment

Most importantly, you will have a fun time exploring London’s global tourism scene and making new friends from around the world.

A Semester Abroad

A semester in Switzerland, or London, can be an ideal addition to your domestic university programme. Glion’s accreditation by the New England of Schools and Colleges, USA, makes it possible for students to transfer credits with many universities in North America. Transfer courses are pre-arranged on a case-by-case basis with an Education Counselor.
