You have dreams to change the world. Now it’s time to put them into action. Applying to grad school is the first step. At the University of Manitoba you can work with researchers who are experts in their field. Once you know what you want to pursue, applying online with UMGradConnect is quick and easy. It takes about 30 minutes and you can upload your documents directly to the website. Make your life even easier by knowing what you need before you start, gathering it all together and then beginning your application.

Required Documentation

  • Official transcripts are required from ALL post-secondary institutions attended.
  • Supporting documents may include: recommendation letters; copy of your CV/Resume; a statement of intent; sample of writing, etc.  See here for a complete list of required documentation.
  • Check if your department requires any additional documentation

Before you apply it’s a good idea to remind yourself of the entrance requirements. Admission to Graduate Studies is competitive, and a combination of factors is considered in the admission decision.

  • Minimum Entrance Requirements
  • Four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (B or equivalent) in the last two full years (60 credit hours) of study.
  • Acceptable English Language Test score, if applicable.
