The King’s University offers faith-based education and nationally recognized Bachelor Degrees in Arts, Science, Commerce, Music, and two After Degrees in Education. Here are 5 tips from King’s Admissions Counsellors on applying to university:

.) Check out admission requirements early on. Courses you take in Grade 11 can affect what you take in Grade 12, so consult university websites early on for their admission requirements. King’s has non-competitive admission; so long as you meet King’s admission requirements, you can expect admission!

.) You don’t have to have your life planned out to apply to university. Think about your strengths and what excites you. Get to know your options. And if you can’t decide on a program now, not to worry! Many schools offer a general year or two before you have to declare your major, so you can try out a variety of courses to see what you’re passionate about.

.) Take advantage of free applications! The cost of applying to multiple schools can add up quickly, so take advantage of free application days—you have nothing to lose by filling out a free application! King’s offers free applications during our campus visit events.

.) Don’t feel like you have to finish an application in one sitting. Many schools have the option to save your application and then come back at a later time. This is helpful if you need to look up information or if you have questions.

.) Have questions? Don’t be afraid to contact an Admissions Counsellor—their job is to help walk you through this process! They can help you with questions on programs, filling out an application, and preparing for the Fall. You can contact a King’s Admissions Counsellor at admissions@kingsu.ca.
