When young adults start to map out their futures, choosing a university is the first important choice they’ll have to make. It dictates how they’ll spend three to four years of their lives – that’s huge!

A decision this important should be an informed one – but, how to pick something simply based on what you’ve read or heard about second hand is difficult.

You can’t really do it. You shouldn’t try to do it. DON’T DO IT!

Finding the right university is like ordering that perfect meal – you want something that’s well balanced, but allows you to experience something new and exciting. If you’re not sure what you like – especially if you’ve never had it before – it’s wise to ask for a little taste test.

At Concordia University College of Alberta, we offer prospective students a few options to do this.

Tour Campus
Feel the vibes! Taking a tour is not just about mapping out where your classes are – it gives you a strong sense of campus culture, and what university life looks and feels like.

Attend Open House
Concordia’s next Open House is Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s the best way to maximize the amount of information you get, in a short amount of time. Have your questions ready! You’ll meet and speak with the faculty, students and staff from all departments.

Go to Class!
Become a student-for-a-day to experience the classroom, before you even apply! This is a great option if you’re not sure which faculty is best for you, or if you want to gauge classroom size and instructor effectiveness.
