If you have a passion for making a difference and are in search of a career focused on helping others – a degree in Psychology could be the perfect fit.

One of the greatest strengths of a Psychology degree is the wide variety of career opportunities available to graduates. Social services, health services, corrections, education, marketing and public relations, labour relations and so much more.

However, like most fields, the job market is extremely competitive.

In developing its Psychology degree program, Booth University College wanted to ensure its graduates would have a distinct edge in the job market through an undergraduate program experience that is unlike any other in Canada. Our program specializes in practical social, cultural, and diversity issues - preparing students to work in today’s increasingly intercultural and multicultural workplaces. It also offers students the opportunity to apply to specialize in Applied Psychology starting in their second year. This stream involves a series of courses focussing on applying psychological theory to real life through community-based service and experience.

“This applied focus opens doors to unique research opportunities, hands-on experience in the field, and preparation for employment upon graduation,” said Dr. Lucy Jdanova, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Booth UC. “Combined with our small class size, which allows us the opportunity to spend more one-on-one time with students, we are able to provide all students with a meaningful, individualized academic experience.”

Located in downtown Winnipeg, MB, Booth University College offers a Bachelor of Business Administration program, five Bachelor of Arts programs (in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, English and Film, General Studies, and Religion), and a Bachelor of Social Work program.
