What Should You Ask Schools?

It’s all about finding where you belong. Here are some questions to consider.

This is such a busy and exciting time with tons of decisions to make. We can’t answer the BIG questions for you. Where do I go? What do I study? We do have some smaller questions that will help you with your decision.

First, what is important to you now? What do the residences look like? Are those rooms guaranteed? Is off-campus housing available? What does the campus look like? How accessible are amenities? Second, ask questions about the PROGRAMS. How big are your classes? What is the student: faculty ratio? What are some of the topics you will study? What do the first-year assignments look like? Are there placement or co-op programs? Are there international opportunities? What supports are available to you? Last, think about your future life: What are your long-term plans? Are you considering a graduate program? What research opportunities exist for you now? Are you going to require reference letters?
