It’s the season for back to school. But what should you know before you go?

  1. The back to school season isn’t limited to September. At Kwantlen Polytechnic University, we offer a wide range of programs starting each semester—fall, spring, and summer—to better meet your needs and match your schedule. Some programs offer the option to study part time, and many classes are available in the evenings to provide you with more options and flexibility. Go to school when you decide you’re ready.
  2. Research the application process. In addition to KPU’s general admission requirements, specific programs may require you to submit reference letters, have your portfolio reviewed, or participate in an information session. Make sure you know what additional requirements your program may have and when the deadlines are to ensure you’re prepared. You can learn more about entry requirements at www.kpu.ca/calendar/2014-15
  3. Visit our future students’ office. Team members are able to assist you through the process of applying to KPU. You can also attend an open house to get a first-hand look at our facilities, or take a campus tour. Contact our future students’ office at www.kpu.ca/future-students/contact
  4. Meet with an advisor. Going to university can be overwhelming no matter what your age or student status. Advisors can help you through the process by answering questions, assisting you with course selection, and helping you take full advantage of all the resources available to you as a student.
  5. Apply for scholarships. Student awards are available to help support you throughout your studies at KPU. There are multiple awards based on varying criteria—to find out more about eligibility, deadlines and what scholarships, awards, and bursaries you might qualify for, visit www.kpu.ca/awards
  6. Have fun! Pack your bag, open your books, and learn something.
