At Glion, hundreds of our undergraduate students go on internships every semester, so you might say we are experts in the art of internship hunting. Here are a few tips for finding, and getting hired for, your ideal internship position.

Show career interest

When applying for an internship, choose an area that will satisfy your career curiosity. At Glion, our students complete two, 6-month internships in the hospitality industry as a way for them to discover their personal strengths and career interests. Check-out our Hospitality Careers Booklet for ideas on internships you might choose.

Apply to college first

Increase your chances of getting an internship by applying to a related college program. It will show your true commitment and passion for that field.

For future “hoteliers”, an application for Glion’s BBA in Hospitality Management will give you time for an internship and lend you the credibility of applying to one of the top three hospitality schools in the world for an international career.

Get some experience

Show them you know what you are getting into by visiting, researching or taking a short class. This summer, Glion is hosting two-week Summer Programs in London where you can discover the industry through London’s tourism and business scene, combined with hospitality and event planning courses.

If you are considering an internship in hospitality, tourism, culinary arts or any related business sector, we invite you to get in touch with us. Glion’s Regional Admissions Director, Sarah Humphrey, will be happy to provide you with information and connect you with Glion students and alumni in this exciting industry.
