An English law degree can be the basis for a legal career all over the world. Students from The University of Law, the world’s leading professional law school, have used their qualifications to further their careers in numerous jurisdictions, including Canada. This means many international students coming to The University of Law have a choice of where to continue their legal career, be that in the UK, in their home jurisdiction or elsewhere around the globe.

If you’re still thinking about where to study a law degree, we’re pleased to tell you it’s not too late to apply for our September 2014 courses.

The main features of The University of Law’s two-year LL.B are:

  • Obtain an LL.B and LL.M in the same time it takes to gain a law degree at a Canadian university
  • Study our 2 or 3-year LL.B before returning to Canada to take between 5-6 Challenged Exams. This is lower than studying with many other UK LL.B providers, as our LL.B is worth 360 credits - even on the 2 year course!
  • Most of our teaching is done in small groups – around 20 students - and exams are taken at the end of each term
  • Practise focused - so in addition to the academic elements of law, you will also learn the skills needed to be a lawyer
  • All the teaching staff at the University are practice experienced lawyers
  • Choose to study at seven centres across the UK, including London
  • Continue your studies with us and obtain a 1 year LL.M that includes the LPC (the bar course for solicitors in England and Wales)
