There’s no such thing as a free lunch.

Heard that before? Well, technically, it’s not true. Scholarships are a brilliant way of making significant savings in one of the most important investments you will ever make in your lifetime.

STEP ONE

It might seem obvious, but you need to know what you really want to study. Getting a scholarship can be hard work. Different schools ask applicants to go through different processes. It is a big commitment on your part, so it’s important that you apply for the program and the school that you really want.

At Les Roches, we encourage prospective students to visit our webzine, and join our informal Facebook page, to get a real flavour of the school and find out what life here is really like.

STEP TWO

Not all schools will advertise their scholarships widely. Therefore, as soon as you decide where you want to study, find out what scholarships are available.

At Les Roches in Switzerland, we attract brilliant and promising talent and our scholarship programs reflect our commitment to this.

Our 2014 scholarships for tuition fees are:

  • Presidential and Needs Based Scholarships (10%, 15%, 20%)
  • Alumni and Children of Alumni (10%)
  • Hotelier (Hospitality) Scholarship (10%)

Students Loans for Canadian Students

In Canada, government student assistance, which can include loans, bursaries and grants, is available for Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and refugees or protected persons with assessed financial need.

STEP THREE

Speak to a local admission counselor about your options. At Les Roches, we encourage prospective scholars to spend some time talking through their plans and their career goals (however provisional they may be at this stage). Sarah Humphrey, Les Roches Regional Admissions Director for Canada (sarah.humphrey@laureate.ch) can put you in touch with your local Admission Counselor. Their services are free of charge and without obligation.
