1. Authentic University Campus

Ivy-covered brick walls and a warm, welcoming sense of community that makes you feel like you really belong… everything a university experience should be!

While living in one of our fourteen residences, you’ll never be more than a 2-3 minute walk from your classes, labs, athletic facilities, stores, cafés, and more.

Our residences are fun and supportive environments. Each has their own charity events and traditions, such as:

  • The Bridges House Polar Dip.
  • Aitken House’s annual Club Med party, where residents bring the beach to the house by trucking sand into the basement.
  • The Harrison House Pumpkin Sacrifice, the longest-running residence tradition in Canada, where each year, residents drop a giant, 500-pound pumpkin from the top of the residence.

2. Small class sizes

Our average first and second-year class size is only 31. That’s likely the same size as your high school classes. You will learn from professors who will know your name.

3. Over 90% Student Satisfaction Rate

And Maclean’s ranks the University of New Brunswick 4th in the country.

4. Thousands of courses to choose from

More than 75 undergrad and graduate programs are available. You can discover new interests and tailor your education.

5. Vibrant city life

The City of Fredericton, New Brunswick’s capital, is known for its dynamic music scene, including the renowned Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in September.

Fredericton also offers food options to suit all tastes: everything from fine dining to ethnically-diverse restaurants and pub-style fare!
