A good university provides two things: top-notch preparation for whatever career you fall in love with, and a life-changing experience in the process. At Canadian Mennonite University (CMU), these are exactly what you get. Regardless of whether you come from any religious background, Mennonite or otherwise, if you're looking for an education you can sink your teeth into with gusto, and a university experience that will move you in the deep places, CMU is the place for you.

Truly the hidden gem of Canadian liberal arts education, CMU produces some of the best-equipped graduates in the country. In fact, our graduates are often better prepared for their post-grad adventures than those of larger institutions.

Because of its size, CMU can maintain the ideal prof-student ratio (roughly 1:18) from day one, while larger universities can only claim it at the graduate level. Smaller class sizes means more opportunity for individual students. On average, CMU undergrads participate more in class discussion than their peers. They also develop better writing and rhetoric skills because professors, with fewer papers to mark per batch, can give more detailed feedback on assignments.

Speaking of profs, at CMU 88 per cent of our faculty have PhDs—though they'll never let you call them doctor. Richly soulful individuals, they are the driving force of CMU's “how then do we live” mentality, committed to engaging personally with you while you are here. At CMU you are not a number—you are a name and a face, a whole person with dreams that matter.

Naturally, more educated teachers means higher standards, but never fear! Wherever you're coming from, small class sizes, rigorous academics, and professors devoted to your growth and development are a tried-and-true recipe for success.
