If you stop and consider all of the things that have the potential to distract you from your studies, you’ll likely end up with a list of obligations or activities that are just part of your day-to-day life.  Time with your family, commitments to clubs and societies, volunteer work or employment, these are rewarding important, and often necessary occurrences, but what if they were out of the mix temporarily?  Imagine the amount of time and energy that could be rededicated to your studies and ultimately your mastery of your exams.  This is one of the many advantages you experience when you choose to Study abroad.

Making the commitment to pursue medical school abroad is a big one but it’s a decision that offers built in advantages.  Going abroad reduces or removes the elements of your daily life that can result in distractions to your studies.  Succeeding in medical school requires that students be laser focused on the Basic Sciences and foundations of medical knowledge.   Every student on campus (and a mere 150 total students at that) is working towards the same goal, will be taking the same exams and can be your study buddies as you progress through the same courses together.  Additionally, these same students at Trinity aren’t competing for limited slots in the next term as is the case with the larger Caribbean medical schools that eliminate the lower ranking students each semester.  Trinity has the resources and advisors in place to chart the progress of every student offering assistance when needed along the way.  With the faculty and your peers all working to towards the same goal of student success distractions are minimized and studies are emphasized.

Studying abroad for the short term, without the commitments and obligations tied to work, groups or your wide circle of family and friends you have the ability to focus on one goal, the study of medicine.
