As we get ready to start our Fall Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts programs on September 20th, we asked a few of our Chef Instructors to share their advice for students to make the most of their training programs. Here’s what they had to say:

“Outside of your school hours, get involved in everything to do with food – read cookbooks and magazines, watch food shows on television, watch and listen to those in kitchens around you….” – Chef Patrice

“Your instructors are there to teach you everything you need to know to get through your programs, but if you’re dedicated and passionate, there is no limit to what you can learn in and outside of the classrooms while you’re at school!" – Chef Kristin

“Six months to one year is a short period of time out of your entire life. Put everything in to your education – study, take any opportunity to volunteer, practice your skills, read everything you can.”
– Chef Darren

The message from our dedicated instructors is clear: Immerse yourself in your studies and surround yourself with learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Great Chefs are made with skills and passion – practice both during your training and you will have the best possible foundation from which to launch your exciting new career!
