Canadian Mennonite UniversityWhen Plan A doesn’t work out, switching universities can be the answer.

After starting his degree elsewhere, Rafael Amaya chose to transfer into Canadian Mennonite University’s (CMU) Redekop School of Business (RSB) to complete his education.

“When I looked into RSB, I found a school that gives professionals a combination of technical skills and human values that will not only allow them to meet the demands of the modern business world, but will also help prepare them to make a positive difference in our communities,” Amaya says.

“I chose [CMU] because it is allowing me to obtain a business education with Christian values.”

Amaya enjoys the small class sizes at CMU because they allow him to form close relationships with both his classmates and professors.

“It’s a higher-quality learning experience,” he says.

Maxine Delaney, who also began her studies at a different university before transferring to CMU, agrees.

“Having experienced being one of 300 students in a first-year class at a different university, I really appreciated not simply being a number at CMU,” says Delaney, who graduated this past April with a BA in Social Sciences.

Delaney enjoyed her time at CMU because she was able to play sports and also make strong relationships with classmates, something not as easily achieved at the university she started at.

“I believe that the interpersonal relationships I formed with professors and other educators pushed me to work harder and strive for higher marks,” she says.
