Vancouver Community CollegeCongratulations! You’ve been accepted into your school of choice...Now what?

As you start planning your courses, housing, transportation, etc., you may notice the costs begin to add up. While tuition at Vancouver Community College (VCC) is often more affordable than other post-secondary options, you could still feel the impact in your wallet. Luckily, VCC’s Financial Aid office can help you find money in places you might not expect.

VCC has a number of scholarships and awards to help with the costs of going to school. Most of the funding is provided by the VCC Foundation and community donors. Eligibility to receive these gifts is based on a number of factors; some are awarded to those with high grades, while others consider community involvement an important part of the applicant’s qualifications. Make sure you look into all options available.

Funding is also distributed through bursaries. These non-repayable grants are based on financial-need and are given to students who have exhausted their student loans. VCC’s Financial Aid office is a helpful resource for students. VCC staff is available to answer your questions and help you find sources of funding and guide you through the application process.

Don’t let money be a barrier between you and your VCC education. Here are some helpful tips:

1. Get started as early as possible – don’t wait until the last minute
2. Get informed – check out our website
3. Get in touch – VCC’s Financial Aid office is ready to answer any of your questions
