Western UniversityAttending university is not only about exploring academic and intellectual pursuits – at Western, we take a lot of pride in providing our students with an environment conducive to enhancing an overall well-rounded experience, which includes myriad service learning, social, athletic and cultural possibilities. Getting involved with our Clubs Community is one great way to get the most out of your Student Experience.

You’ll make new friends, become engaged in your new environment, enhance your resume and have a lot of fun! If you want to know why Western is home to “Canada’s Most Satisfied Students” (for 11 years in a row, according to the Globe and Mail’s annual University Report), check out the multitude of opportunities available to you, not just in class, but in your extracurricular life as well. Whether you enjoy Hip-Hop or History, Comedy or Calligraphy, there’s something for YOU!

Western offers over 180 different Humanitarian, Community Outreach, Religious, Cultural and other opportunities. More than 9,500 students belong to one (or more!) of these clubs.

If you want to get healthy and fit, or stay fit and compete, you might want to consider joining one of about 1,200 Intramural Sports Teams, whatever your level of ability. Play competitively or for fun – the choice is yours! You could also check out the Dragon Boat Club, take a look at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, try Futsal or the ever-popular Inner-tube Water Polo.

Come and see for yourselves how Western students are able to work hard and play hard!
