Brighton CollegeYou’ve done your research, decided on what you want to study and where, and now it’s time to sit down and pound through those college applications! You will likely apply to quite a few colleges for safety and a better variety of choice, but how do you keep organized with so many different requirements, deadlines and details to remember for each college? My advice would be to embrace technology and the invention of tables and excel sheets! By listing all the information you have as you go along in one big table, you will be able to find information faster when you need it during any moments of confusion. Start by listing some important headings in your table and fill them in per college, including:

- College name
- Campus location
- Program applying to
- Application checklist (documents you need to include, essays to write)
- Application fees (helps you keep track of your spending and budget)
- Application deadline

At Brighton College, we also require that our students come in for an initial interview with one of our admissions representatives as part of the application process. If you are applying to colleges that follow the same process, be sure to make a note of your interview date and later write down the name and contact information of the person that interviewed you. It’s always a good idea to send a follow-up email after your interview with an admissions representative, so make a note of the date you sent the email out as well for a better idea of when you might hear back.

Applying for colleges can be a long and time consuming process, but keeping it simple and organized can help a whole lot! For more information about Brighton College and to find out more about how to apply to our programs, visit www.brightoncollege.com.
