Stenberg CollegeStudying and working hard while in a program can make or break your experience, but being sure about the program you register into is even more important to ensuring your success. The old saying that to do what you love means you’ll never have to work a day in your life, rings true.

The most important thing you can study, before ever registering for a course or program, is yourself. Seriously look at what makes you tick, what you want out of life, what you want in a career, where you see yourself in 5, 10, 15 years. Start at the beginning by studying your personality and your career choices and studying for your classes will be made easier by the fact that you’re doing something you’re sure you want.

The Career Planning resources available at Stenberg College through the FREE online Career Development eManual will guide you through six steps: Self-Assessment, Research, Decision-Making, Networks & Contacts, Work, Life/Work Planning. You’ll study your personal characteristics, interests, values, skills and review your strengths and weaknesses. Then you’ll look at where these traits match up to the work you are considering, or even reveal opportunities you had not considered before. You can access the Career Development eManual here.
