University of WaterlooEvery student is highly familiar with the dread of encountering the “F” word: failure. Studying might not be the most enjoyable part of university but it is definitely one of the most important!

If your university or college has an office like the University of Waterloo’s Student Success Office, take advantage of their success coaches or workshops on study tips, procrastination, and preparing for exams so that you’re prepared to success at university.

Here are some study tips that might help you ace your next exam:

- Never skip class even if you think that you know everything already. If you’re not a morning person, then taking an 8:30am class is probably not such a good idea.

- Do your readings before class and go over them after class.

- Go over your notes regularly.

- Find a study partner to share notes with.

- Keep up with your work. It’s easier to stay ahead than to try and catch up.

- Make sure you now all the resources available to you like tutoring sessions and exam banks.

Good luck for a great school year!
