Orientation activities at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland promise a fun start to the school year.

For the first time ever, all post-secondary students coming to Corner Brook, NL will be welcomed through Campus City Connect – a joint project of the city and its colleges, and Grenfell Campus.

The goal of the project is simple – to bring more students like you to Corner Brook and to make you feel welcome while you study here. Invitations have been sent to the 2,700 students coming Corner Brook next semester.

On Sept 5, The Western Star City Connects will take place at Margaret Bowater Park. We’re inviting you here to connect with local businesses and community groups. The following day, Sept. 6 a drive-in movie will be shown on a massive inflatable screen. You can enjoy the blockbuster The Avengers from the comfort of your car or lawn chairs. The final event is A Rockin’ Time, a community concert will take place on Sept.7, featuring some of the province’s finest musicians.

Grenfell Campus will also host its own Orientation 2013 during the first week of classes. Events will include parent orientation, campus tours, welcome shows, games and concerts. You’ll have the chance to learn all you need to know to make the most of your time at Grenfell Campus.
