Algonquin CollegeTo make the most of your year at Algonquin College, it helps to start out with a bit of guidance.

  1. Beat the lines. Get your student ID card at Parking Services (room C044A), open Monday to Friday, from 8 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm. Or send us your photo by email and pick up your card when you get to campus in September. Find out more.
  2. Shop online. Purchase your books, course supplies, and much more at the First Class Bookstore and The New Technology Store. Be sure to check out the back-to-school specials.
  3. Laptops, ipods, cell phones, digital cameras, TVs, gaming and more. All available on campus at the New Technology Store. Or online. Why buy on campus? Students can save big on software compared to prices off campus and all our computers are set up to work on the College network.
  4. There are close to ten food services locations on campus – Whether you’re craving pizza, stirfry, asian, greek, crepes, a pita or even a smoothie, there’s something for you on campus. On campus all the time? Check out our meal plans and save money. You’re also able to add money to your student ID card and use it as a debit card at food outlets across campus, including vending machines, which saves you transaction fees.
  5. Follow Algonquin Food Services on Twitter at @ACeating for healthy food options, daily specials and promotions that can save you money.
  6. No need to lug your course gear around campus. Lockers can be rented when paying your tuition or through the Locker Services office (room C044A) with your timetable.
  7. Parking permits go on sale on a first come, first served basis to all users on July 3, 2012 online and in the Parking office in C Building (room C044A). When they are sold out, a waitlist will be maintained and updated daily. If you only drive occasionally, there are also Pay and Display areas and meters on campus. And don’t forget, OC Transpo Route 118 comes right on campus and Baseline station is right across the road!
  8. Making your projects look professional is easy. Our on-campus PrintShop is here to provide you with exceptional service that will make printing and copying convenient and affordable.
  9. Need accommodations this summer to check out Algonquin before school starts? Why not stay on campus in our super affordable suite style residence facilities. Learn more.
  10. Go Green. Ride your bike to campus and lock it in one of many bike racks. We use compostable cups, but if you want to do one better, bring your own coffee mug to any Food Services location and save 0.10 on each coffee.

Be sure to get all the latest news at Algonquin College Orientation. Make the most out of your year!
