University is more than just a place to study and earn a degree. It should also be a place where you meet new people and experience new activities by taking part in other events on campus. Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, BC offers countless opportunities for you get actively involved in campus life beyond the classroom.

When you become a TRU student you also become a member of the Students’ Union, better known as TRUSU [TRUE-Sue]. Through their office, you can get involved in a host of activities by volunteering as an events promoter or join their volunteer registry to work with a variety of community organizations on social issues in Kamloops.

TRUSU also helps hundreds of students join, create, and organize clubs on campus. From the Mustache Club and the Billiard Club to Students in Free Enterprise, student clubs are a great way to connect with other students who share your same interests and ideas.

Staying healthy is also an important part of your student experience. Do you enjoy intramurals and fitness? They are all offered on a drop in basis, so you can take in as many extra-curricular activities as you want!

If you just want to be a fan, TRU teams compete in four varsity level sport leagues, so grab a group of friends, show your school spirit and catch the Wolf Pack in action at the Tournament Capital Center on campus.
