At Grenfell Campus, we recognize that overall student success is more than just academics. Grenfell Campus keeps student health at the forefront through the delivery of a suite of recreation, sports and wellness programs. Whether you’re playing volleyball, basketball, handball or indoor soccer, you’ll find Grenfell’s intramural sports a fun and challenging way to stay active. For the competitive athlete, our men and women’s basketball and volleyball teams are fierce competitors on the provincial scene.

Grenfell students can avail of our indoor swimming pool and fitness programs on campus. As well, our city boasts world-class indoor and outdoor sporting facilities, and students are encouraged to give them a try while studying at Grenfell Campus. Partnerships have been formed with the Pepsi Centre to allow students the opportunity to play hockey at a state-of-the-art ice surface or to curl at the newly-constructed Corner Brook Curling Club. Learn to snowboard or ski at Marble Mountain, where the highest run has a vertical drop of almost 1,600 feet!

The Wellness Centre, operated by the Western Regional School of Nursing, is devoted to enhancing education and awareness of various lifestyle, health, and well-being issues relevant to students at university. Wellness Centre staff also meet with students on an individual basis to discuss specific health concerns. The Wellness Centre can help with smoking cessation, healthy eating, maintaining a safe body weight, identifying health risks or by making referrals to other health professionals.
