If you are not an upper-year Brescia student, the above chant may not mean much to you – yet. While going back to school often involves purchasing supplies, organizing schedules, and finding one’s way around campus, this time of year doesn’t have to only be about these somewhat mundane tasks.

In order to de-stress and keep the cool in school, Brescia’s O-Week (Orientation week) has plenty of fun events planned for incoming students. Whether you enjoy chant show downs with the affiliate colleges, cheering on the Mustang’s at the first football game of the season, or simply sticking around Brescia to get comfy in your surroundings, we have something planned for you!

Each year Brescia plans fun activities on campus. Exclusive to Brescia students only, these events foster new and close relationships within the Brescia community that last for the duration of a student’s undergraduate career and beyond. This year students can look forward to campfires, henna tattoos, scavenger hunts, a giant Jenga game, and even a high ropes course! In addition to these Brescia specific activities, there are football games, concerts (including Lights and These Kids Wear Crowns), dance parties, and other awesome events on main campus that are open to all Western and affiliate students.

One might wonder how to find all these events, considering the large size of Western. Thanks to our dedicated Soph team, getting around is a cinch! This dynamic group of 20 girls is available all week, as well as all year, to act as tour guides, mentors, cheerleaders, and friends to O-Week participants.

We hope you are practising your cheering and chanting. With the new school year just around the corner, O-Week and the Brescia Soph team are waiting for you!
