At Thompson Rivers University, We Love to Facebook and Tweet

While we hate to admit it, most of us spend many hours on Facebook, Twitter or whatever other Social Media website has captured our heart.  So why not take advantage of your favourite pastime and stay connected with your prospective or current post-secondary institution?

Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, like many other post-secondary institutions has a growing presence on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube…and each of them offer a different opportunity. 

If you’re a prospective TRU student, I recommend you ‘like’ TRU’s Student Recruitment Facebook page!  The page is updated almost daily with little tidbits of advice, locations of Student Recruiters and reminders regarding application deadlines for programs and scholarships. If you prefer to tweet, you should also follow the Student Recruitment team on Twitter!!

Whether you’re a prospective or a current TRU student, the general TRU Facebook page and Twitter account make staying in touch that much easier.  On top of all the helpful reminders, the stories that pop up from around campus can be inspiring and fun!

If YouTube is more your thing, you should check out our feed at http://www.youtube.com/truwebbies.  There are some great clips that highlight our beautiful campus and some of our amazing programs. 

And after all of those, there are still so many more groups, clubs and pages on Facebook regarding Thompson Rivers University. Just search TRU and you’ll be surprised with what you find! For our respective tweeters, there’s even more to follow online!
