In today’s digital world, it is common, and indeed necessary, for organizations to connect and communicate via social media. Brescia is among other top universities in maintaining these connections – Brescia is leading other universities in the people who represent Brescia in the online world. The faces behind the computer screens are often Brescia students!

Certain social media platforms are administered by Brescia’s great staff. Our Facebook page offers regular updates to followers about important dates, cool contests, events, and promotions. ‘Summer in the City’ is our most recent silent video contest portraying what is special about Brescia during the summer – we’re still open for submissions!

Twitter is another social media option for girls on the go. Between balancing life, work, and school, Brescia student Panit Gill follows Brescia’s Twitter account “to get the basics. If I want more info, I check out the Facebook page later.” In addition to the Brescia’s main Twitter account, Principal Colleen Hanycz has recently starting tweeting!

While social media is essential for staff to connect with students, alumni, and staff, Brescia sees value in students connecting with fellow students. What better way to convey the true Brescia experience than with the words of a Brescia student? The recently released YouTube videos feature students answering common questions about life at Brescia. When asked why she enjoys the videos, Gill responds, “It’s neat to see what your school can come up with creatively and to see if you recognize anyone in the videos.”  Brescia Blog features future and present students who provide insight on what university life is really like – the ups, the downs, and all the in-betweens. Brescia fashion blogger Emma Nicholson was selected as the style guru of Brescia and the University of Western Ontario. Focusing on a certain aspect of campus lifestyle, Emma writes for College Fashionista and regularly features Brescia students as campus trendsetters.

If you are interested in connecting with Brescia, take a peek at our social media platforms. You never know what you might learn or which featured fashionista you may recognize!
