Scholarships Opportunities at Nipissing University

It is clear that a post-secondary education is a key investment of a lifetime however, it also clear that finances play a critical role in the pursuit. Nipissing University has a number of ways that applicants can obtain additional funds to assist with the cost of university.

Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships
Ontario Students

Ontario secondary school applicants will be considered automatically for our entrance scholarships based on their best six 4U, 4M and/or OAC grades (excluding co-op courses) as long as an application for admission is received by May 1.  Conditional offers of scholarships will go out with offers of admission.  Scholarship eligibility will be reviewed once final grades are available June 30.

Other Canadian Provinces
Current high school applicants from other Canadian provinces are also eligible for scholarship consideration.

Applicants for admission to the first year of an undergraduate program who are applying directly from the first year of a CEGEP program qualify for Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships.  The scholarship average for CEGEP applicants will be calculated on the final grades of their six best courses (excluding courses in Physical Education).

Schulich Scholarship
Up to 100 Schulich Entrance Scholarships valued at $6000 each are awarded annually to eligible students entering the first year of all Bachelor of Science programs with Concurrent BEd or with Orientation to Teaching (OTT).

Chancellor’s Awards
The Chancellor’s Awards are awarded to two full-time students entering the Faculty of Arts and Science or the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies who demonstrate academic excellence, exemplary leadership activities and financial need.
Value:  $10,000 renewable for up to three additional years at $3,000 per year for a total of $19,000.
