Paying for your education can seem like an overwhelming and expensive proposition. With tuition, the cost of books, and living expenses, it can be difficult to save money.

As a result, the need for financial aid is increasing year after year. Record numbers of students are applying for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). In response, Seneca’s Student Federation has contributed $100,000 to help support their fellow students for the second time.

“On behalf of Seneca College, I want to thank the Seneca Student Federation for their continued support,” said David Agnew, Seneca’s president. “It is a great indication of the character of our students and the commitment to student success at the college.”

The donation will support more than 400 scholarships and bursaries awarded to students.

Financial awards are usually given on the basis of a combination of academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, financial need and special circumstances for specific groups or individuals. At Seneca, there are a variety of awards open to students of all walks of life.

Scholarships and bursaries at Seneca are awarded for a variety of different reasons, and you may be eligible for any number of those awards. To find out more, visit,  http://www.senecac.on.ca/registrar/financialaid/scholar.html.
