Searching for the right school can be quite a full time job. The following steps should be followed meticulously if you are to find the right school:

1. What program or course will give me the most fulfillment as well as reward me financially?

2. Where can I find this program?

3. Do I want more theory, more practical training or am I preparing for a career?

4. Am I seeking a program over 3 years in duration  - more on a theoretical level – University

- 2 years or more on a more practical level – Community College

- 6 months to a year and a half - being job ready so that you are confident to take on employment right away – Private Career College like Canadian Business College.

After you have researched the variety of programs on our website: www.cbstraining.com, when you come for a counseling session at Canadian Business College at Mississauga, Downtown or Scarborough – the counselor or Registrar will do the following to ensure that you are in the right program:-

a) Check your resume or your school transcript – if you have just completed high school.

b) Give you an evaluation test to find out your talents and what program would best suit your personality.

c) Ask personal questions to decipher what career would be best for you in the long term and give you options.

d) Check out if you qualify for second career or skills development, if you have been laid off from your job, are receiving Employment Insurance, have received EI during the last 3 years or have received EI while on Maternity leave during the past 5 years.

e) Explain how the financial aid system works in Ontario and how to obtain a student loan if you need assistance.

f) Register you in the program of your choice which best suits your needs.

Please note that a Canadian Business College Registrar is specifically trained to assist and counsel students of all ages and we cater to students from 18 years on.

If you feel that you wish to make an informed decision of which career you need to choose in this fast paced world, take some time off and see an Admissions Representative at one of the 3 locations of Canadian Business College, in Mississauga, Downtown or Scarborough, or simply call 416-290-6565 and ask for Paul Marshall who will direct you to the right campus close to you or invite you for a one on one counseling session.
