Get prepared BEFORE school starts
Are you wondering: What kinds of technology will my profs be using? How do I do research in a university library? Where can I get my hands on some money? What will university be like?

You’ll get answers to these questions and more in free, 45-minute information sessions on all the essentials of university: Life Online, Library & Research, Money Matters, Health & Wellness, and University 101.

Each session is offered once per week starting August 16th through the first week of class. View schedules and register at www.tru.ca/orientation.

Don’t get caught in those long lineups!
The first week at any university is notorious for seemingly endless line-ups at the campus cashier, the registrar’s office, the academic advising office, the bookstore, etc.

The solution?  Jump the Line at TRU! All of the aforementioned services plus the counselling centre, the students’ union desk, the computer account help desk, and financial aid office will be open from 10am-2pm on Labour Day (the day before school starts), as well as until 6pm the first week of school.

Campus tours will also be offered during these times, starting from the Welcome Centre.

It’s here! Orientation Day!
Forget about classes on the first day at school! We want you to have a great day getting familiar with all of your surroundings and meeting some other new students first.

Fall 2010 Orientation at TRU is going to be bigger and better than ever. First-year students are going to love the high-energy activities designed to start them off on the right foot.  Plus check out the resource fair, grab some giveaways and don’t forget about the free BBQ!

It all gets underway at 8:30am on Tuesday, September 7th at the Tournament Capital Centre on campus. Visit www.tru.ca/orientation.

TRU is still accepting applications for many programs, including Bachelors of Arts, Science, and Business.  Visit www.tru.ca/apply. Questions? Find Thompson Rivers University (TRU) on Facebook or contact the Welcome Centre at 250.828.5006.
