Starting University or returning to University in September is such an exciting time of year!  There are many fun activities to participate in and lots of help with your academics; here is a small sample of what’s going on at the University of Alberta this fall:

Orientation: Come explore campus and meet close to 7,000 new students! Orientation runs over two days and includes student panels, a campus tour, program-specific sessions and lots of fun!

Clubs Fair: Every September during the Week of Welcome and Orientation, clubs converge in the Butterdome and in QUAD to showcase their activities and causes for incoming and veteran students. From musicians to jugglers, dancers to rowers, and social activists to computer gamers, there's something for everyone at Clubs Fair! This event is a huge part of why it is so exciting for students to return to school in September: endless opportunities for involvement in the campus community and the development of new leadership skills.

Academic Support Centre (ASC): Learn how to study more effectively and ace those exams! The ASC offers workshops in time management, note-taking, reading & memory strategies and beating exam anxiety.  There is even a special workshop just on exam strategies, which focuses on how to study for and write multiple-choice, short answer & problem-solving exams. One-on-one support is also available for students wishing for a more customized approach to studying assistance.
