The phrase “back to school” can be nerve-wracking for students. There are to-do lists that include everything from buying supplies and finding your classes to making new friends.

Centennial College’s Orientation Week is here to help. Dubbed “Centennial Welcomes”, it is designed to help you discover the opportunities and challenges you’ll encounter as a student. Through your program’s orientation, you’ll connect to the school, the teachers and other students like just yourself. Not only is it a great way to have your questions answered and your fears about school subsided, but orientation is also your first step to making life-long friendships.

With other new students you’ll get to know your campus so that it’s easier to find your classes on the first day, obtain your student photo ID (which will allow you to use Centennial’s many services), discover the secrets to college success and much more. If you’re still feeling nervous, Centennial’s Orientation invites your parents, family and friends to attend a special morning session to help you feel more comfortable.

In an orientation Youtube video, two students who attended last year, both spoke about how much orientation helped them adjust to college life. Nicole, a biomedical engineering technologist student even said that orientation helped her to learn about the Student Association and all of its important services, which enhanced her social and learning experiences.

Other students, meanwhile, include orientation as a vital part of getting through your first week and having a successful year.
