Welcome Back! The first week of school can be overwhelming, especially if it is your first postsecondary year. At Canadore, we are dedicated to making your transition into College easier.

During your first week you can partake in Frosh,  a fun-filled week that will help you make friends and get familiar with the College.

Canadore has a variety of services available to help you as you settle in to college life including Financial Aid, AccessAbility Services, the Health Centre, Counselling Services and Peer Tutoring.

Canadore College is dedicated to providing hands on training and real-world skills that make our students stand out from other job seekers.

Students enrolled in our School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts have the unique experience to train in our Canadore Room, a fully functioning fine dining restaurant that is open to the public. There are also several contests during the school year where you can test your culinary finesse and win great prizes!

Hospitality and Tourism is the fastest growing industry on the planet, according to the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council. With rapid growth comes the need for workers at all levels and currently the demand for skilled employees exceeds supply.

You can earn-while-you-learn with the Cook Apprenticeship program or you can choose a program that offers paid summer placements at some of Canada’s top resorts and hotels including Banff Springs Hotel, Marriott Red Leaves Resort, Chateau Lake Louise and Deerhurst Resort. There are paid placement options in Culinary Management and Culinary Administration and Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Management and Administration programs.
