If Facebook was a country, it would be the 3rd largest populated in the world after China and India.  A shocking 96% of all ‘Millennials’ have joined a social network site.  Over 50% of the world’s population is under 30 years of age.  Considering these stats, it’s not surprising that universities have turned to social networking sites to communicate to students.

Bond University in Australia has taken huge step towards increasing its level of service by setting up an admission’s Facebook and Twitter page.  You can join and get admissions updates, scholarship information and find out when a Bond representative will next be visiting Canada.   Most importantly, you can ask admissions specific questions and get real-time answers.  The regular Bond University Facebook and Twitter pages let you stay up to date with things happening around campus and general newsworthy items.

To better engage with the online community, Bond University has cleverly adapted the idea of MySpace and created ‘BondSpace’.  Current Bond students, alumni and academics have all created their own ‘space’ where they can share some information about themselves and what they think about Bond.  BondSpace also includes multi-channel communication with video messages from the students and academics.

The University’s YouTube channel is the central hub for all its videos. Here you can check out the latest TVC, student profiles and scholarship videos as well as leave a comment on your thoughts. Check out what a Canadian Law student Sabina thinks about life at Bond on YouTube.

Bond University has the reputation of being a very modern university that has embraced today’s technologies and has state-of-the-art technology incorporated into its campus and facilities.  Although Bond is a young University (celebrated its 21st birthday this year), it was created in the traditions of the world’s leading private universities with a series of grand sandstone buildings which line a landscaped promenade, leading down to the tranquil man-made lake.

What also makes this Australian university so special is its three-terms-per-year academic calendar with convenient start dates in January, May and September.

If studying in Australia at a state-of-the-art campus appeals to you, visit their website to find out more about Bond University.
