Questions + Facebook = Answers

All students, parents and guidance councilors have questions about educational institutions. As we know it can sometimes be difficult to quickly find the answer to your question even if it is very simple.

So if you are looking for an answer, and still haven’t found it, why does it have to be so complicated? Solution; facebook.  For future students of Laurentian University there is a way to find answers to their questions; and fast. The facebook group called Laurentian 2014 Laurentienne is a great way for future students to engage current students and find the answers to their questions.

Yes, the group has allowed students to get to know each other on a social level but more than that, they are really helping each other.

“It’s great, I met a bunch of ppl going into my program and we help each other out by answering questions” – Future student.

“I like it cuz I can talk to a lot of the ppl that will be in my rez next year, but for me it’s the fastest way to get an answer to simple questions” – Future student.

The interaction within the online community has been refreshing for both students and staff.  Laurentian has representatives on Facebook ranging from Orientation, Liaison, Native Student Recruitment, Residence, Career Centre, Continuing Education, Alumni and even the University’s President Twitter profile.
