Red Deer College (RDC) launched a brand new web site nearly a year ago and has continued to grow in the realm of social media. We see that it takes different technology these days than it did 20 years ago to communicate to our future and current students.

RDC has a weekly blog, Dish!, with one of the local newspapers, www.reddeeradvocate.com.  Dish! tells the stories of our unseen heroes whether they are staff or students. It takes a lot of people to make the post-secondary world go round, and we want to acknowledge the skills and hard work through this blog.

RDC is also on Twitter sharing the latest on news and events. Follow us @RDC_news to get the latest updates! Or join RDC Library or RDC Alumni to find out what they are up to!

RDC has several Facebook groups from Athletics, Library, to Alumni and Performing Arts.

The latest in technology movements at RDC is the new iPhone, iPod, or iPad App that provides students the ability to check their schedule and classes, or new students can use a GPS function to help them find their classes. RDC can use the system to post a message in the case of an emergency related to a fire or lockdown.

RDC is in the heart of central Alberta and moving forward to communicate with the latest technology and social media trends. To find our more, visit www.rdc.ab.ca
