Have you been waitlisted or declined admission to one of the many oversubscribed Ontario Community College Dental Hygiene Programs? Unwilling to put your career aspirations on hold? Interested in attending the first private accredited dental hygiene program in Canada?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene Inc. (CIDH) may be what you have been looking for.

Located in Hamilton, Ontario, CIDH is currently accepting applications for its Diploma in Dental Hygiene program that will begin on August 3, 2010.

The CIDH program, which is Accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada, is offered in a format that is appealing to many people who are ready to launch their careers.  Students attend 3 consecutive 24-week semesters which allows them to complete their program in just over 18 months. There is a 2-week break between each semester.

Applicants are required to have successfully completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) or the GED plus the following senior level (Gr. 11 or higher) subject credits (or their equivalents):

Grade 12 English (C), (U), (A) or (G)
Grade 11 Biology (C), (U), (A) or (G)
Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry or Physics (C), (U), (A) or (G)

Once your application is complete, CIDH will inform you of its decision concerning your application within 2 weeks.
