It’s natural that, as a student, you are going to incur debt while on the path to your chosen career. At Canadore, we are dedicated to help ease the burden through various funding opportunities and earn while you learn options.

The College has a large, diversified financial assistance program offered to full-time students that includes scholarships, bursaries and entrance awards designed to reward academic achievement and assist students in financial need. We distribute over $600,000 in scholarships and bursaries each year.

Did you know? Canadore offered $1.1 million in scholarships and bursaries in 2008-2009.

Also, there are 28 scholarships and bursaries geared specifically to students in our Hospitality programs.

Hospitality and Tourism is the fastest growing industry on the planet, according to the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council. With rapid growth comes the need for workers at all levels and currently the demand for skilled employees exceeds supply.

Canadore’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts offers several earn while you learn options to make student life easier and student debt more bearable. You can earn while you learn with the Cook Apprenticeship program or you can choose a program that offers paid summer placements at some of Canada’s top resorts and hotels including Banff Springs Hotel, Chateau Lake Louise and Deerhurst Resort. There are paid placement options in Culinary Management and Culinary Administration and Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Management and Administration programs.

And Canadore grads get jobs! The College has a reputation for producing high quality graduates with job-specific skills that employers recognize. Almost 9 out of 10 of our grads find jobs and start their careers within six months of graduation. At Canadore, students learn from the best.
