You've been accepted - now what?

To avoid any problems while travelling, you should carry with you:
- Your passport and visa
- Your letter of acceptance from KIOSK School of English
- Your homestay information
- Emergency contact numbers
- An international phone card
What do I do when I get to the airport?
Be sure to get all your luggage at the airport. If any piece of luggage is missing, sign the required forms. Use your homestay or school address for delivery.
- If you paid for airport pickup, look for someone holding a KIOSK sign at your arrival gate. One of our representatives will drive you to your homestay.
- If you did not pay for airport reception, get a taxicab, or take the airport express bus to the subway.

What do I do on Monday? (Tuesday if there is a holiday)
- Be at KIOSK before 9:00AM
- Our address is 65 Wellesley Street East, 2nd floor.
- Walk east about 3 minutes from the Wellesley subway.
- On Monday you will take a test, get your class placement, go on a neighbourhood tour and learn about activities. You may purchase your text books and subway pass.

An exciting schedule of activities, under the direction of the activities leader, is offered each week. When you participate in the cultural, recreational and social activities at KIOSK, you learn more about Toronto, make new friends and have lots of fun. You will enjoy exciting activities including: sports, sightseeing, shopping, trips around Toronto, CN Tower, Lake Ontario, Toronto zoo, Canada's Wonderland amusement park and cultural visits such as the Royal Ontario Museum and Pioneer Village. On weekends we will take you on day trips to famous places such as Niagara Falls and nearby towns and beaches.

Farah - Syria
Toronto for me is the place I always dreamed of. I love my home country of Syria but here you feel safe and the people living here are so polite, educated and friendly. Toronto is really a big city that has different nationalities of people from all over the world. That's what makes it more special and exciting! Everyday you discover new places. It has a lot of places you can visit like a museum, the CN Tower and so on. I am an outgoing person and I got the chance to go skiing for the first time this last winter. It was amazing! You can understand from what I have said that I really love this city and why I moved here. Toronto has the best education and work: in this city you will find whatever you want here.
Escarlet - Peru
It is the first time that I am here and everything is totally new. It is amazing to walk around and take pictures when everywhere is covered by snow. Even though the weather is cold, I really enjoy it!! And the people are very friendly. There are also activities you can enjoy like skiing and skating; many places you can visit like the CN Tower, Lake Ontario, Harbour Front, and City Hall or just watch The Maple Leafs playing a hockey game.

My host family in Toronto was an important part. I had a lot of conversation with the family each day. I think for my English study, 40% of conversation was with the family and 60% was at the school.

Toronto is a good city. It doesn't have any traffic problem. The traffic flows very regularly. The weather is very clear. There aren't any pollution problems. Everybody is respectful. In conclusion, I love Toronto's night life. It's very exciting!
