Brock UniversityThe image of Canada as a frigid northern climate is not totally accurate. Brock University, located in the Niagara Region, enjoys four distinct seasons with many activities to experience year round. The summer is a particularly beautiful time to visit, with many tourist attractions and outdoor activities to enjoy. Enjoy the breathtaking Niagara Falls, have a picnic in one of our many parks or enjoy our biking and hiking trails while you are moving in!

Adapting to the University lifestyle, particularly in a new country, can be challenging. Brock University is committed to ensuring that students are prepared for this exciting new time. During the summer months Brock hosts its summer academic orientation program, SMART Start (Students Making A Realistic Transition).

This first official day as a Brock student will begin your transition to university life, and help you to feel at home on campus. The program is designed to ease the transition from high school to university by providing incoming Brock students and their families with an in-depth look at university life through interactions with staff, faculty, and students.

Students set to start their first year at Brock are able to attend the full-day session that will offer them a chance to, obtain their student ID cards, tour the campus, learn about various student services, interact with upper-year students and faculty members, and register for classes. If students cannot attend SMART Start they may still apply for courses online.

Brock also hosts the International Student Orientation which runs the first week of the school year. Each day there will be a special event that was planned to make your new experience less stressful, more fun, and to help you meet some new friends.

We encourage International Students to take part in all Students' Union and International Services O-Week events, especially the BrockGUIDE Peer Partner program, this program allows upper year students at Brock to help familiarize incoming students with the campus and the various services that are offered.

Brock serves the Niagara region as a cultural, academic and recreational centre and offers the community excellent facilities for people of all ages. We are also dedicated to fostering an environment that serves our community both within and outside of Brock. By encouraging campus engagement in volunteer and community events, we are committed to building our community.
