College of the North Atlantic understands that choosing to study abroad is big step and students have a lot of questions and concerns before embarking on an exciting journey of living and studying in Canada. For this reason the staff of College of the North Atlantic is dedicate to assisting international students along every step of the journey from the moment they enquire with College of the North Atlantic.

The International Services team at College of the North Atlantic provides a prompt response to all enquiries from international students and aim to address any issues or questions students have before they apply. Once a student applies, College of the North Atlantic aims to provide ongoing support and pre-departure information to all students.

This ensures that the student is knowledgeable about our college, our programs, campuses, and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Depending on the campus where the student will be studying College of the North Atlantic will either arrange for homestay or residence accommodations.

If a student prefers to live off campus, staff at that campus will assist the student in finding an apartment or other suitable off-campus arrangements. As soon as a student confirms that he/she will be studying with us at College of the North Atlantic, we assist the student in finding an appropriate flight route to the campus where he/she will be studying. Regardless of the time of day the student arrives in Newfoundland one of our supportive staff will greet the student at the airport and bring him/her to their selected accommodations.

College of the North Atlantic recommends that all international students arrive at least a week prior to the beginning of classes so that they may become acquainted with the college and the surrounding area. As College of the North Atlantic has 17 campuses throughout the spectacular province of Newfoundland and Labrador, we provide separate International Student handbooks for each campus so that students are aware of all of the amenities and attractions around their selected campus.

When they arrive, international students will receive a special orientation that will address specific issues that affect international students such as immigration issues, banking, language testing, and culture shock. International students will also have the opportunity to participate in the campus orientation, which is designed for all new students, attending College of the North Atlantic. Throughout, the orientation activities international students will have the opportunity to become familiar with the campus, the city, the staff, and students at College of the North Atlantic.

College of the North Atlantic has a dedicated International Student Coordinator, who is available to assist international students, with any issues that may arise while studying at our college. In addition to the special services available to International Students, College of the North Atlantic offers Personal, Academic and Career Counselling, Peer tutoring and Student Affairs and Employment Services to all students.

Throughout the year there are activities organized for international students and the Student Activities Counsel at each campus organizes several events and activities for all students.
